Delete a shipment

Remove a shipment completely and put the stock back.

Deleting removes the shipment entirely and returns the stock to the order, so it can be shipped again properly.

Delete a shipment

  1. Open the order and click the Shipment tab.

  2. Click the shipment you want to remove.

  3. Click Delete shipment.

The order goes back to where it was, and the quantity is outstanding again.

You can delete a shipped shipment

Even one marked Shipped. That is deliberate — it is how you fix a shipment that was recorded wrongly.

It is also worth pausing over. If the goods have physically left the building, deleting the record does not bring them back. Your system will say the stock is available and the customer is still waiting for it. Only delete a shipped shipment when the shipment itself was a mistake, not when the goods really went.

Delete or undo?

Use when

Undo a step

the shipment is right but needs adjusting — see Undo a shipping step

Delete

the shipment should not exist at all

Undo keeps the shipment and its number. Delete removes both.

How to know it worked

The shipment disappears from the list, the Remaining column goes back up, and the order status returns to Confirmed or In process.
