Undo a shipping step

Step a shipment backwards when something changes.

Every stage can be stepped back. The undo buttons appear on the shipment as you move forward.

Step back

  1. Open the order, click the Shipment tab, then click the shipment.

  2. Click the undo button you need on the stepper.

You can go back more than one stage at a time — clicking Uncommit from Packed unwinds the whole thing.

What each one gives back

Unpack is a status change. Nothing moves; the goods stay where the picker left them.

Unpick puts the goods back to the bin they came from.

Uncommit releases the hold. The stock goes back to available to pick, so another order can have it.

Note that uncommitting does not put it back to available — that number dropped when the order was confirmed, and the order still exists. See How shipping works.

When to undo rather than delete

Undo when the order is still going ahead and something about this shipment needs changing — wrong quantity, wrong stock, customer pushed the date.

Delete when the shipment should not exist at all. See Delete a shipment.
