Confirming is what turns a draft into a real order. Until you confirm, nothing in Brahmin Solutions knows the stock is coming.
Confirm the order
In the top menu, click Purchases.
Click the order number.
Click Save & confirm PO.
If the order is already saved as a draft, open it and use the same button.
What confirming actually does
What changes | What happens |
Expected goes up | by the quantity you ordered, on the warehouse the order is for |
Status changes | Draft → Confirmed |
You can now receive | receiving is blocked on a draft |
On Hand does not change | stock only arrives when you receive it |
Confirming does not send anything to your vendor
Confirming does not send anything to your vendor. It records the order in Brahmin Solutions. Send the order to your vendor separately using Send or Print at the top of the page.
Undo it
If you confirmed too early, open the order, click Action, then Unconfirm Order. It goes back to Draft and the Expected quantity is released.
You cannot unconfirm an order once you have received against it. Delete the receipt first — see Fix a receiving mistake.
How to know it worked
The status badge reads Confirmed, and the quantity appears in the Expected column when you look at those items in Inventory.
