Add Customer, Add Customer Info / Details, Add SO Line Items, Saving SO, Confirming SO, Fulfilling SO, Invoicing SO, and Tagging SO

Create sales orders in Brahmin Solutions to ship stock out of the warehouse. To begin, go to Outbound Menu and click New Sales / Returns or in View Sales screen, click on actions and click New.


Add Customer

First, choose a Customer.

If a customer doesn't exist, click on the + next to customer dropdown to add a new customer.

After a customer is selected, Ship To and all the info in Details tab will be preloaded from the customer.

Ship To and customer details can be edited. Changes will not be updated in the customer.

Add SO Details

Use Sales Order information / Details to track your sales, communicate sales information to other teammates, and measure customer performance over time.

Ship By Date (Required) - which is the date the order will be completely shipped.

Confirm Date - Use this to track when an order is ready to be shipped. The date will be set automatically once the order is confirmed, but you can backdate or enter a future date.

Fulfilled Date - Use this to track when an order is completely shipped. The date will be set automatically once the order is completely shipped, but you can backdate or enter a future date.

Cancel Date - Use this to track when the last date to cancel an order is.

Add any reference order numbers in Reference Order #.

Select a Sales Rep for the order and if the Sales Rep is predefined in the customer configuration, then it will be prepopulated.

Select a Tax associated with this sale from the drop-down and if a tax is predefined in the customer configuration, then it will be prepopulated.

If a Price List is associated with the customer, it will automatically be pre-populated when the customer is selected, but you can change the price list if needed.

Note: Price list and currency are linked together.


Add Line Items

Add line items via any of the following methods:

Search

Search by product, variant name or SKU code. This method is best for small sales orders with just a few line items.

Select the UOM and enter qty to sell.

Inventory Tab

Use the Inventory Tab to add products much quicker. This method is best for adding items in a bulk.

Top products shown will be recent products ordered by the customer selected on the SO.

Enter the Qty to sell and items will be added to the sale.


Note: As you add line items, the system will calculate the profit margin per line and per order.


Tagging SO

Tags allow you to easily filter and group sales.

Tags can be applied to sales order during any stage of the life cycle.

To add a tag, simply type in the tag name followed by a comma. If a tag exists, similar tags will show up in a drop-down as you type.


Finally either save to SO to save it as a draft or confirm to finalize the SO. To confirm, make sure you you set the shipby date. To learn about the SO life cycle click here
