The ShipStation integration has been rebuilt. This page is for anyone already sending shipments to ShipStation — it covers what changed and what you need to do.
If you are setting ShipStation up for the first time, you do not need this. Use ShipStation — Integration Setup instead.
What changed
The way the two systems talk to each other is the same: Brahmin Solutions gives you a Username, Password and URL, and you paste them into ShipStation as a Custom Store.
What is better is everything around it:
Copy buttons on each credential, so nothing gets mistyped
A status line telling you whether ShipStation has connected yet
A Logs tab, so when a shipment does not appear you can see why instead of guessing
The exact path into ShipStation's own settings, printed on the screen
What you need to do
In the top menu, click Settings.
Go to Add-Ons → Integrations → ShipStation.
Check the status at the top of the page.
If it says your connection is active, you are done. Nothing further is needed.
If it says Awaiting setup in ShipStation, reconnect using the steps below.
Reconnect ShipStation
On the ShipStation page in Brahmin Solutions, use Copy Username, Show password →
Copy Password, and Copy URL.In ShipStation, go to Settings → Selling Channels → Store Setup → Custom Store.
Paste the three values in and save.
Come back to Brahmin Solutions and refresh. The status should change to connected.
That path is printed on the Brahmin Solutions screen too, so you do not have to remember it.
Only regenerate if you have to
There is a Regenerate button. It issues fresh credentials — and the old ones stop working the instant you click it.
If your shipping is working, do not touch it. If you do need to regenerate, have ShipStation open in another tab and paste the new values in straight away. Any shipment sent in between will not arrive.
Check it is working
Pack a shipment and choose Via ShipStation. It should appear in ShipStation within a few moments.
If it does not, open the Logs tab on the ShipStation page. That is new, and it will tell you what happened rather than leaving you to work it out.
Worth knowing
These have not changed with the rebuild, and catch people out:
Shipments only go to ShipStation when you pack them and choose Via ShipStation
ShipStation does not handle decimal quantities on line items
If a shipment is voided or deleted in ShipStation, Brahmin Solutions is not told — you have to
void it here as wellWhen you ship in ShipStation, tick Notify Marketplace? so tracking flows back
