Creating Products in Brahmin Solutions

Updated this week

Products are the foundation of your inventory catalog in Brahmin Solutions.

Every item you sell, buy, or manufacture begins with creating a Product, which may contain:

  • A single SKU

  • Multiple variants (SKU matrix)

  • A kit or bundle built from components

This guide helps you choose the correct product structure and links you to the right setup workflow.

What is a Product?

A Product is the top-level container used to organize your catalog.

Products control:

  • Name and descriptions

  • Brand, category, and tags

  • Variant grouping

  • Kit definitions

⚠️ Inventory is always tracked at the Variant (SKU) level, not the product level.

Choose the Right Product Structure

When creating a product, you will choose one of three structures:

1. Single SKU Product

Use this when your item has only one sellable or stockable version.

Examples:

  • One-size item

  • Single packaged good

  • Raw material with no variations

➑️ Creates one default variant automatically

Best for: Simple inventory setups

2. Product with Multiple Variants

Use this when your product comes in multiple variations such as:

  • Size

  • Color

  • Pack count

  • Rotation or configuration

Brahmin Solutions allows you to define variant options and generate a SKU matrix.

Best for: Catalogs with structured variation

3. Kit / Bundle Product

Use this when you sell a bundled item made up of other components.

Examples:

  • Gift sets

  • Multi-item packs

  • Bundled promotions

Kits are:

  • Sell-only

  • Derived from component inventory

  • Costed from component MAC
