Variant Tabs Overview

Variants are organized into tabs so you can manage each operational area clearly.

Inventory is grouped by:

  • Warehouse

  • Location

  • Lot number

  • Expiration date

Expanding a row shows:

  • Received date

  • Source transaction

  • Vendor and cost

📌 Kits do not show this tab because they do not hold stock directly.

Velocity Tab

The Velocity tab shows sales or consumption trends over time.

Used for:

  • Demand planning

  • Stock optimization

  • Reorder forecasting

You can view velocity windows like:

  • Last 7 days

  • Last 30 days

  • Last 90 days

Reordering Tab

Configure warehouse-specific replenishment thresholds:

  • Min / Max levels

  • Safety stock

  • Lead time

These values drive inventory health status and purchasing recommendations.

Attachments Tab

Store important item documentation:

  • COAs

  • Spec sheets

  • Regulatory files

  • Supplier contracts

Transactions Tab

The Transactions tab provides the complete audit trail of inventory movement.

Includes:

  • Receipts

  • Shipments

  • Adjustments

  • Transfers

Each row shows:

  • Warehouse

  • Transaction ID

  • Type

  • Date

  • Quantity impact

  • Location movement

This is the source of truth for “why did stock change?”

Inventory Variants vs Kit Variants

Variant screens differ slightly depending on whether the item is inventory-tracked or a kit.

Inventory Variants

Include full operational tabs:

  • Inventory

  • Transactions

  • Velocity

  • Reordering

Used for normal stocked SKUs.

Kit Variants (Bundles)

Kits do not hold inventory directly.

They typically include only:

  • Details

  • Pricing

  • Bundle components

  • Images

  • Attachments

Availability is calculated from component stock.

Manufacturing Tabs (Coming Soon)

For Make-enabled items, future releases will include:

  • BOM (Bill of Materials)

  • Production

These tabs will appear only for manufacturing workflows.
