Inventory Screen (Variants List)

Inventory → Inventory

Updated this week

The Inventory screen in Brahmin Solutions is the primary workspace for managing your active stock-tracked items.

Each row in this view represents a Variant (SKU) — the operational unit that is purchased, stocked, sold, and used in manufacturing.

Use this screen to:

  • View real-time inventory availability

  • Search and manage SKUs

  • Monitor stock health and allocations

  • Apply advanced filters and saved views

  • Perform bulk updates across many variants

  • Print labels and spec sheets

  • Export inventory data

Products are used for grouping, but inventory activity happens at the variant (SKU) level.

What You See in the Inventory List

Each row in the Inventory table represents a single Variant.

Common columns include:

  • Image

  • SKU / Variant Code

  • Name

  • UPC

  • Inventory Status

  • Available

  • On Hand

  • Allocated

  • Expected

  • Committed

  • MAC (Cost)

  • Stock Out Indicators

  • Status (Active / Inactive)

This view provides the most detailed operational snapshot of your inventory.

Understanding Key Inventory Fields

On Hand

The total physical quantity currently in stock.

Allocated

Quantity reserved for open sales orders, manufacturing demand, or other commitments.

Allocated inventory is not available for new fulfillment.

Available

The quantity available to sell or pick immediately.

In most workflows:

Available = On Hand – Allocated

Expected

Inventory that is inbound but not yet received.

This may include:

  • Open Purchase Orders

  • Incoming transfers

  • Manufacturing output not completed yet

Committed

Quantity committed or picked for future demand.

(For example: picked sales or production order.)

MAC (Moving Average Cost)

The current cost basis of the item is calculated from purchasing and production history.

Inventory Status (Out, Low, Healthy, Excess)

Brahmin Solutions assigns each SKU an Inventory Status to help you quickly understand stock health.

Statuses include:

  • 🔴 Out — shortage

  • 🟠 Low — below safety stock

  • 🟢 Healthy — within target range

  • 🔵 Excess — above maximum

Inventory Status is derived from your:

  • On Hand inventory

  • Allocated inventory

  • Expected inventory

  • Min/Max thresholds
